My teammate and I decided to make our day before Spring Break a Nonfiction Writing Celebration. We had our students bring in their favorite stuffed animal. We started our day by making portfolios to take home our nonfiction informational and how-to books. Next our two classes got together with our stuffed animals to share a couple of our books. Then we had some yummy snacks. Last we drew a picture and wrote a fact about our stuffed animal.

It was a great celebration and a great way to spend our last day before Spring Break. As a result of our celebration I think that Monkey Max and Bunny are now dating. A nonfiction writing workshop celebration in Kindergarten.
