Inspired by a book called "A Place Called Kindergarten" by Jessica Harper, Jonelle Belle has created her blog in a format very similar to the book -- it's what she would tell the animals about what she and her students do every day in class. She makes great use of the blog by posting a lot of the students' work, from their nonfiction writing ideas to their scrapbook paper owls (we can all remember that) to drawings of the same tree depicted in each different season. You'll find a lot of inspiring posts from Jonelle in her blog.

Moving on to 1st grade...

These crazies are moving on to 1st grade.

I can't believe that this year is over. This was a fast one. Thanks to all my blogging buddies for all your ideas and inspiration!! Your emails and comments make me feel so appreciated. Thanks to the 20 little people in this picture that made me smile and enjoy what I do sooooo much! I am so proud of the authors, illustrators, readers, mathematicians and scientists that you have become!
