  1. So cute! I love how to draw books!

  2. Oh my this collection of books! Thanks for introducing me to some I didn't know about. :)

I also love to use "The Colors of Us" when we talk about drawing people. It's an awesome book that gives cool names to different skin colors. It's even more fun if you have some multicultural crayons to use! :)

  3. Mrs. Bell I love everything you do! I can't wait to pin some of the books your suggesting.I have a question I use smilebox and it looks like you have the account that you paid for do you think it's worth it? Can the parents have access to burn things or do you just have the ability to do that? Can you upload any kind of music from i tunes?? sorry for all these questions!! I love the how your slideshows look. Thanks so much! P.S. I started my notebooks in math this week inspired by you! Melissa

  6. Just beautiful! I have been using our mini whiteboards for daily drawing and did the
first paper using the document camera on Friday, so much fun!I haven't used markers yet but am inspired. Thanks for sharing.

  7. Thanks so much for sharing this. These are some great resources. Writer's Workshop is my favorite time of day in Kindergarten, but sometimes I think we rush past the art of illustration, details, labeling, etc... If you haven't read it yet, I think you'll enjoy Katie Wood Ray's In Pictures and In Words.

  8. I am a new kindergarten teacher and a terrible artist. What type of mini lessons do you use in your drawing unit?

    1. I've created my own unit as I have gone along, but Talking, Drawing and Writing is a great resource.

  9. A drawing unit sounds like a great idea for kindergarteners. I'm finding my kids have shocking drawing abilities. I'm still getting people with arms and legs coming from their heads haha. I will have to look into a drawing unit I think! Thanks for sharing =)

  10. Wow! I really enjoyed your drawing examples on your slideshow! I usually integrate drawing lessons into my journal time. I'll definitely be doing some of the things you do. Thank you for sharing!
