GIANT gingerbread boys and girls

This is my favorite gingerbread activity. My students love picking somewhere for their giant gingerbread boy or girl to run to and their gingerbread decorations are so creative. Bryn made my day when I went to take her picture and she pretended to take a big bite out of her giant gingerbread. My students love seeing these giant gingerbread boys and girls "running" down the hall outside our classroom.

Teachers, it is not too late to make these with your students.
You can find this activity in my TpT Store.

My FREEBIE goes along with the book
The Reader by Amy Hest.
This is a sweet story about a boy and his dog who travel
to a nice spot in the snow to play and read their favorite book together.
My Kindergarten learners need lots of practice identifying story elements. Use this freebie to help your students identify characters and the setting in this story, retell the story and turn & talk about the story. These activities can be used during a week long study of this story or as a focus lesson for one of these skills.

Feeling Thankful

Feeling thankful for these adorable little turkeys, who call themselves chickens:)
They did a great job singing and playing the bells during their
Thanksgiving Celebration.

tree scientist + police and firemen + Eric Litwin = a busy week

This week we my little scientist studied trees and recorded the parts of a tree, a fall tree and things made of wood in their Learning Notebooks. Our local police and firemen visited our school to talk about how they are important to our community.
Eric Litwin had everyone singing and dancing to his Pete the Cat and Nut Family books during his visit. Enjoy these pictures from our busy week...
