tree scientist + police and firemen + Eric Litwin = a busy week

This week we my little scientist studied trees and recorded the parts of a tree, a fall tree and things made of wood in their Learning Notebooks. Our local police and firemen visited our school to talk about how they are important to our community.

My little authors and illustrators got to meet 2 authors this week! 

The author of Curious Critters, David FitzSimmons, visited us as part of 

our Right to Read week. We loved his books about our favorite critters. 

We are so excited to add these books to our classroom library!

Henry and Ryan's preschool teach Missy Griffin stopped by to share her book Gigi's Window with us. We used her book for inspiration during our special memories writing workshop unit. It was so fun to hear the background information about her book and we all got to draw what we would want to see outside of Gigi's window.
