Reading & Writing Notebooks Week - Friday

I {heart} using notebooks in my classroom!

I am ending reading & writing notebook week with some miscellaneous activities.
a letter sort...
parts of a book...
rhyming...
word families during Seuss week...
special memories writing ideas...
I got these vowel sorts from First Grade a la carte...
We never use glue in our notebooks. The pictures above were taped in. I also never let them use markers because they bleed through the pages. We use crayons or colored pencils. I use lots of different sizes of labels to put info at the top of the pages.
Happy Notebooking!!

Reading & Writing Notebooks Week - Thursday

I {heart} using notebooks in my classroom!

We respond to literature in our reading and writing notebooks.
We read lots of books about the same character, by the same author, or with the same title and then write or draw about them in our notebooks. I use labels to add the guided questions to the top of the notebook pages.
