We had the best day today. Author and illustrator David Biedrzycki spent the day at MES and shared with us how he gets his ideas, what he does with his ideas and how he writes and illustrates his books. You can learn more about David Biedrzycki and his books at his website davidbiedrzycki.com.
David Biedrzycki started drawing when he was four years old.
David Biedrzycki keeps journals in his car, on his desk, in his suitcase and by his bed so that when he gets an idea he can write it down or draw a quick picture.
David Biedrzycki also has an idea wall above his desk. This is a place where he tapes up ideas until they develop into books. I think that an idea wall is a great idea.
What an awesome experience for the kids!!! The whole family watched David again at Young Author's Night and he was great! Thanks for such a WONDERFUL Young Author's Night Mrs. Bell. The kids had a great time and I can tell you have been busy with all the projects. The quilts were priceless-thank your mom for us:) We appreciate ALL the hard work getting everything ready for/with the kids!!!!
