Getting Read to Self Started

I love read to self! There is nothing more fun than creating an environment where children are excited about books, have their favorite few in a box and love to curl up with them on a daily basis. We have been working on building our stamina for "reading" books and talking about how if we can't read the words, we can read the pictures, or retell stories that we know well. Read to self is one of my favorite times of the day. I love looking around room at all my kiddos "reading" books. Here are the books that I have been reading to motivate my little bookworms...

  5. Where did you get the great picture cards to go along with your poster? I would love to have these to go with my station in my first grade classroom. I think this is a great visual for my firsties! I love so much on your site I could sit and go through it for hours!!!
