  3. One of my favorite authors/illustrators is Kate Banks. She has a new one out called The Eraserheads about making mistakes. I would LOVE to add that to my library.

  11. Memoirs of a gold fish by Devin Scillian. This charming story of a goldfish who learns a life lesson. Great cross-curricular lessons here.

  22. I have always loved all of the Frances books, so I have instilled this love for her in my students. She always seems to have the right story to go with the situations that my first graders face. Thank you Russell Hoban!

I would also grab a new title for my classroom library - probably the new Skippy Jon Jones (my class LOVES him). I'm already a follower. :)

  47. I am always telling my students "This is my favorite book...". I had a student tell me this year that I sounded like Junie B. when I said that because everything is her most favorite thing in the whole wide world! :)

    Honestly, I would buy the Debbie Diller Math Work Stations book...I am dying to read it.

  63. I would buy Follow the Line Through the House and Follow the Line to School (out July 7th), both by Laura Ljungkvist. I love these books. They are absolutely perfect for oral language, counting, classifying, and about a million other things! They are so engaging and my kinders absolutely adored them last year!

  67. I am going to be a first year Kindergarten teacher this fall. I would love to buy a ton of books to start my classroom library.

    The book I used in my rhyming lesson to get my job was "The Hungry Thing." If you have never read or seen it this book is amazing to use to reinforce rhyming :)

  71. I am a new, and now faithful, follower! I am getting some great ideas of books for school, and wanted to send out an idea for all K teachers to try The Loud Book, and The Quiet Book! These are two great books that I just discovered while on Amazon.com. I think these would be helpful in making kids understand appropriate times for both loud and quiet voices! I have no idea what I would buy online if I won, but I do know that I would buy everything that would help me to build my new literacy andmath work stations ... thanks Debbie Diller!
