My students followed 4 steps to answer these giant story problems. 
1. read and find important information
2. draw a picture to show the story problem
3. write an equation to answer the story problem
4. write an answer to the question
So proud of their hard work!!

  6. With the common core big emphasis on addition and subtraction in kindergarten I was struggling with providing my students with lots of varied practice. I love your 4 steps, highlighting key words, and working with a partner to solve a problem. They look so proud and happy. Thank you for sharing your great ideas.
