    1. The Pete the Cat coloring page came with this Pete the Cat tour activity: http://inspiredbykindergarten.blogspot.com/2012/07/first-day-pete-cat-tour.html

  2. I would love to know where you got the read to self boxes and how much they were? I got platic bins for $2.50 from the dollar aisle at Target, and I think they'll last a couple of years, but yours look fun & inexpensive.

    1. I got the boxes at Calloway House. They are a little more expensive, but I have tried others and they did not last the whole year. These hold up until the last day of school:)

I'm interested in anything Pete the Cat, also! Let us know if you have more links/activities/ideas.

  4. I would love to know where you got your boxes also. I got mine at Wal-Mart, but I love how your kids can decorate their own!

    Thanks,

  7. I see the kids drawing different types of lines in the photo from the first day of school. Could you tell me what unit of study you are doing in writing workshop in September? Also, did the unit come from a particular teaching book or resource? Thank you!

    1. I start my year with a drawing unit that I have kinda created myself. I love building the kids confidence with drawing before they start phonetically spelling. I will try to blog about it soon:)
