There Was An Old Lady Reader's Theater Performances

Reader’s theater scripts perfect for supporting Kindergarten learners. These reader’s theaters help Kindergarten students retell their favorite stories. Check out a couple of videos of these reader’s theater being performed.

Here are a couple of ways that we have performed our There Was An Old Lady Reader's Theaters. The first video is of There Was An Old Lady That Swallowed a Rose that we performed in our backward chairs. This is a great option for performing a reader's theater if your students need the support of the script. I loved that Max was super excited to be the old lady and is so sweet when he blows the kiss. The second video is of I Know An Old Lady That Swallowed a Pie that we performed after reading the book and script several times. We performed this reader's theater at our classroom microphone and I cut out the props so that our old lady could pretend to swallow them. I love how Chloe wiggles a little every time she "swallowed" an item.
