I love this! Do you have written out directions for what you verbally told your students. I can tell this was a listening activity as well as an art activity. Would love if you could share those specifics.
I don't have a step by step. I just try to relate what we are doing to shapes we know how to draw…Abe's hat is a rectangle, draw a u under his hat, etc. I did find a free how to draw Abe and George that I pinned on my February Pinterest board. Hope this helps. Joenlle
