2016 French Lick Teacher/Blogger Retreat Linky

I picked a few 80s songs to sum up my weekend at the
Spring Teacher/Blogger Retreat
The French Lick Meet-Up was an opportunity to connect and be inspired by 200 amazing educators. My journey started early in the morning on Saturday when I picked up my blogging/TpT buddy Erin Beers from Mrs. Beer's Language Arts Classroom. I am so lucky that Erin was with me because I was so excited I wasn't checking my gas gauge!
Holly Ehle focused on the word passion to inspire the room and remind us that when we feel overwhelmed and unappreciated, which can happen very easily this time of year, to find our passion for the jobs we love to get us through. A big thank you goes out to Holly and her team for putting together this weekend!
At this retreat I was able to hang out with some teacher friends, reconnect with some awesome teachers that I met in Vegas and make some new teacher friends. These women (and Greg) not only made me smile and laugh all weekend, but also made me realize we are all in this together. Who can't smile around a Jersey girl with bling?

These two could not be more kind. When I was walking into the hotel I saw Amy and thought "that looks like TpT Amy" and then I thought "OMG I am at a teacher retreat and that IS TpT Amy!" It was so fun to catch up with her right when I walked in the door and I can't believe that Nicole decided to spend her birthday with us.
Thanks Amy and Nicole for hanging out and sharing your passion!
The teacher swag at this event was unbelievable. I am in love with my Classroom Friendly Supplies pencil sharpener! My new Hue document camera arrived this week and I can not wait to use it! A big thanks to Erin Condren, Go Noodle, Teachers Pay Teachers, Creative Clips, ESGI, Kwik Stix, OSMO, Udderly Smooth, Vera Bradley, Creative Teaching Press, Digi by Amy, Astrobrights, Better Life Bags and The Pencil Grip for their donations for our swag bags! Check out Holly Ehle's post to win a Teacher Prize Package.
Girls and a couple of guys just had fun at the 80s party. Since I graduated in1986 this night brought back a lot of memories. When Footloose came on I ran to the dance floor only to realize that there was a choreographed flash mob that I wasn't a part of. I spotted myself running on and off the dance floor in a few videos on Instagram. I was happy to provide my table with some laughs, but don't act like you were not about to join me...JennieWhat happens when you invite 200 teachers to an 80s party? Several of those teachers order on Amazon...a couple of books and an 80s outfit sounded good to me and several others.
Thanks everyone for being the wind beneath my wings! My only regret is that I didn't have more time to meet more teachers. Until the next time we are together hold onto your passion and make it happen!

  1. It was so much fun hanging out with you last weekend! And, you are right, I WAS about to join you as you "crashed" the flash mob! That was definitely a good laugh! Will see you in July- if not sooner!
